Game of the day: And Yet It Moves

After a lengthy hiatus of holidays and work, we're back. I think we're going to do a slightly different format going forward, picking a "game of the day" and just giving a few cool points about it. This will be a bit less formal, and omit the "scores".

So the first "game of the day" is "And Yet It Moves"

Physics platformers have defined the indie movement for a bit, and this is quite an interesting one. You basically run around but can rotate the world around you, hence the name. To give a simple example, you'll be running over the edge of a platform, then rotating the world so you land on the underside of the platform you just leapt from. It gives a very nice "free running" style of gameplay that is often not found in platform type of games.

The graphics are neat, looking like they were hand drawn on pieces of paper, then ripped out. The music has an odd sinister feel to it, and all in all, it's a unique and interesting game.

It is also available on Steam, so go grab it there. I played it with a generic logitech gamepad, and it works great, playing basically just with the two analog sticks. Well recommended.
